Venues

The outside of the Natural History Museum
While I’m in London I will be going to five venues. Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, The London Eye, The Globe and The Natural History Museum. But these are only some of London's greatest attractions. I will be talking to you about the Natural History Museum. This Grand Museum is made up of four impressive zones that are called the Blue Zone, the Green Zone, the Orange Zone and the Red Zone. Each has seven to eight galleries. They focus on nature, natural disasters, animals, humans, the creation of the world and our solar system. The museum is located at 31 Cromwell Road only 0.7 km from the hotel. It’s hours of operation are 7.30 in the morning to 7.30 at night.

The Blue Whale
The Natural History Museum is a towering dominating building in the center of London that looks a bit like a medieval castle. The Natural History Museum opened it's doors on the 27th of May 1996. The purpose of this museum was to educate the public, showcase historical artefacts  and bring entertainment to the people visiting this fortress of a museum.

A display in the gallery of the earths treasures
My three favourite galleries in the museum are one the mammal and Blue Whale gallery which I think is magical with the Blue Whale stretching it’s gargantuan body over my head and the animals staring at me with their blank eyes. My spine tingled as I looked at them in awe they seemed so real. It seemed eire but I think that was why I liked it. Another gallery that I liked was the dinosaurs with their recreated skeletons stretched toward the ceiling I shuddered to think what these beasts would have been like if they were real it was mind blowing and unforgettable. Last but not least is the Earths Treasures this is a gallery filled with vividly, abstractly, coloured eye catching diamonds, gemstones and minerals of all sizes and shapes. This was one of the busiest rooms in the museum and I could see why.

The museum was titanic with helpful staff who showed you around this challenging maze of a museum with twisting corridors opening into wonders of all kinds. It is a thrilling structure and I hope you like the sound of the breathtakingly exquisite Natural History Museum.
