Accommodation

The hotel I will be staying at while in London is called the Corpthorne Tara Hotel. It is located at 31 Kings Rd Westminster, London. This is a convenient location as it is close to some of London’s greatest attractions and historical landmarks such as the London Eye and Big Ben. I can see from my hotel balcony great views of many of London's famous landmarks and out across the River Thames.
There is a very efficient 24 hour reception whose staff answered all my questions and quickly filled out my paperwork. The hotel lounge is stylish and comfortable a great place to wait for taxis and airport shuttles. If there is a line for reception which means you can’t ask your questions I recommend you take a walk on the banks of the river Thames or Hyde Park.
There are three fabulous restaurants that serve Malaysian, Singaporean, Cantonese food. There are also two outstanding bars in the hotel. They serve free cooked or buffet breakfast for their guests. I chose the Nasi Lemak breakfast which is made up of coconut rice, cucumber and hard-boiled egg. I thought it was delicious.
There is a 25 metre pool in the hotel alongside two spa pools and a sauna. These offered me an opportunity to relax during my stay. After the sightseeing and rushing around to different attractions I wanted a rest.
Room service is available 24 hours a day which is helpful if you get off your plane late as you can organise breakfast and your complimentary newspaper to be delivered to your room the next morning.

My room in this luxurious complex was is on the sixth storey with views over the River Thames. There were three large comfortable beds: one double and two singles. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean and included a bathrobe, shampoo, conditioner and soap. The staff keep them clean during my stay. In my apartment there was also a mini bar containing a good selection of drinks and snacks. A 45 inch Samsung Smart TV equipped with My sky as well as free Wi-Fi access which kept me entertained during my stay.

My payment method was credit card but you can also pay in cash if you prefer. The total cost for four nights was a reasonable $1037 NZD. I enjoyed my stay at the Corpthorne and I recommend if you are going on holiday to London that you stay there to.
